Papermaking

Papermaking is a program for special education students from the Van Buren Intermediate School District. It provides them with work experience and teaches work ethics for possible future employment. Our program runs from September through June 1.  During the summer we can make samples. We like to have a six month notice to make samples and the invitations but, we can do them in less time if needed.

Students attending Papermaking utilize a number of materials, including recycled paper, to produce unique, handmade paper. Flowers, glitter, ribbon, and many other materials can be mixed in the paper to add texture and color. The students then use handmade paper to create invitations and greeting cards for all occasions.

Ordering Information

Our program runs from September through June 1st. We do not work during summer vacation, but we can make samples. A six month notice is needed to make samples and invitations, but we can be flexible if needed.

Wedding Invitation orders include a $25 non-refundable set-up fee, which does not count toward the total price, payable when samples are made.

Our prices range from $1.30 to $2.75. This includes one invitation, one envelope, and one RSVP (postcard).

Samples are made according to your colors. When we get your approval on invitations, we provide a final price depending on the number of items ordered. You will be asked to sign a verification paper stating that you have checked all spelling, time and dates. Any changes made after initial verification will be paid by you.
